All examinations are being held online and students will be appearing for the exams from home
Dear Parent/Guardian
Greetings from University of Engineering and Management, Jaipur
We wish to inform you that as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) Guidelines, the minimum class attendance required in all subjects of an academic programme (for example B.Tech/BBA/BCA/MBA etc.) is 75% failing which students will not be allowed to appear for assessment components such as Mid-term Tests and Semester – end examinations.
The 75% attendance rule is mandatory and cannot be relaxed under any circumstances. Absenteeism on grounds of medical and family exigencies shall not be considered.
As per the above rule, students whose overall attendance is less than 75% attendance in a subject will not be allowed to appear for mid-semester examination and Semester-end examination of that subject and shall be awarded “F” (Fail) grade. Students who are detained from appearing in the semester-end examination of more than four subjects in a year on account of less than 75% attendance will lose an academic year.
Also, any student who fails in more than four subjects in a year will lose an academic year.
It is requested that the Parents/Guardians shall impress/counsel their wards to strictly adhere to the 75% minimum attendance rule and also concentrate on studies so that they do not lose any academic year.
For your kind information, faculty of the university has been counseling the students in this matter since the beginning of this semester and commencement of their studies at this university.
